Meet the Clinical Staff:
Our clinical staff are highly trained professionals who hold graduate degrees from accredited universities. They are licensed by the state of Virginia to practice audiology and/or speech-language pathology. They are certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology and must adhere to a rigid code of ethics requiring high standards of service and ethical business practices.
Shannon Blevins Bramlette, Au.D., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist Shannon Bramlette has been with the Bristol Center and its satellite office, Lebanon Speech and Hearing Center, since 1997. After completing her undergraduate work in Audiology and Speech Pathology at Longwood College in 1995, she continued her studies at the University of Tennessee, where she earned an M.A. in Audiology in 1997. In addition, Dr. Bramlette earned the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the PCO School of Audiology in Elkins Park, PA, in 2006. Dr. Bramlette was appointed as the Executive Director of the Center in July 2007 and has also served as Vice President of the corporation since 1999. Her clinical interests are diverse, as she enjoys working with a wide range of clients in the areas of pediatric and adult evaluation/rehabilitation as well as educational audiology (including central auditory processing assessment). Dr. Bramlette has presented at various regional workshops and is a preceptor for Au.D. students from East Tennessee State University. She lives in Bristol and enjoys spending her free time with husband, Neil, and son, Spencer.

Carol Runyan, Au.D., CCC-A
Clinical Audiologist, Carol Runyan joined the Bristol Center in February 2008. She is additionally providing services at our Lebanon, Virginia location. Dr. Runyan has over 20 years experience in the field of Audiology, particularly pediatrics, in a variety of medical and clinical settings. After completing her undergraduate training in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology at Ithaca College in New York in 1983, she continued her studies at the University of Northern Colorado, where she earned her M.A. in Audiology in 1985. Dr. Runyan earned the Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2002. Her clinical interests involve evaluation and rehabilitation for pediatric and special needs populations as well as adults. Dr. Runyan has presented at various regional health fairs and events. She lives in Abingdon and enjoys spending time with her family.

Tonya Coleman, M.S., CCC-SLP
SLP Tonya Coleman began her career in Speech-Language Pathology at Lebanon Speech and Hearing Center in 1997 and has served as Director of Speech-Language Pathology services at BRSHC since 1999. In July 2007, Tonya was appointed as the Assistant Executive Director.
Tonya received her B.S. in Communicative Disorders and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from East Tennessee State University after completing 4 years of service in the United States Army where she worked as a pharmacy technician. Tonya has been a featured presenter at regional workshops highlighting the field of speech-language pathology and has provided in-service workshops for local school systems. She has also previously served on the Legislative Committee for the Speech-Language and Hearing Association of Virginia. Tonya dedicates much of her time to pursuing her clinical interests in Autism Spectrum Disorders and literacy development. She lives in Bristol with her husband, Brian.

Jennifer Chisler Borsch, M.S., CCC-SLP
Jennifer began working at the Bristol Center in August of 2005. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Glenville State College and a Master of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University. Her clinical interests are auditory processing disorders, aural rehabilitation and pediatric speech and language disorders, including reading and learning disabilities. Jennifer has also published a therapy manual that utilizes children’s literature for treatment. She is also a Hanen trained and certified SLP which focuses on training parents of children with early language delays. Jennifer lives in Bristol and enjoys spending her free time with her children, Kat, Adam, and Mason.

Lisa M. Brooks, M.S., CCC-SLP
Lisa is a speech-language pathologist at Lebanon Speech and Hearing Center in Lebanon, Virginia. She began working at the Center in June of 2003. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Radford University. Her areas of clinical interest are articulation and phonological awareness disorders in children, as well as, adults post-stroke suffering from aphasia and/or apraxia. She has presented in-services to local organizations and school systems educating others about the field of speech-language pathology. Lisa resides in Abingdon with her husband, Kevin, and three children.

Kati Uelhof, M.S., CCC-SLP
Kati Uelhof joined the staff at the Bristol center in July, 2008. Kati grew up in Johnson City and recently relocated to be closer to family. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Deaf Education and a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri. Much of her academic work focused on facilitating speech and language for children who are deaf or hard of hearing using auditory-oral techniques. Kati began her career at St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf - Indianapolis, working with children who utilize hearing aids and/or cochlear implants. She participated in many aspects of mainstreaming students including IEP meetings, teacher and SLP training and serving students in their home school. Kati lives in Johnson City, TN with her husband, Nathan, and daughters, Alex and Sam.

Shea Bartz, M.S., CCC-SLP
Shea is happy to return to the Bristol and Lebanon Speech and Hearing Centers after 11 years. A native of Abingdon, Shea received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Special Education and a Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from James Madison University. Shea enjoys working with the birth to three population, children with speech and language disorders, as well as those with special needs, and adults with neurologically based communication disorders. Shea lives in Abingdon with her husband, Chandler, and three children, Elise, Connor, and Abby.

Katharine Bedsole, MS, CCC-SLP
Katharine graduated from Auburn University in 1997 with her BS in Communication Disorders and from the University of South Alabama in 2001 with her MS in Speech-Language Pathology. She has worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, homes, and clinics, with all ages of adults and children. From 2005-2007 Katharine worked for Super Duper Publications as a SLP Editor. Katharine has given presentations to SLPs and special educators all across the country. She has presented at the Alabama and Georgia speech and hearing conventions. After working at Super Duper, Katharine returned to the school setting working as a full-time SLP in Greenville County, SC. There she continued to hone the skills and knowledge she had gained in an effort to better serve her students and fellow SLPs. In 2008 Katharine moved to Bristol, VA and currently works for the Bristol Regional Speech and Hearing Center.

Meet the Administrative Office Staff:
Euva Sutherland
Euva Sutherland has been an employee with Bristol Regional Speech and Hearing Center since 1994 and is the Business Manager for both the Bristol Center and its satellite office, Lebanon Speech and Hearing Center. She is responsible for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and the financial assistance program. A graduate of Big Creek High School in War, West Virginia, Ms. Sutherland continued her studies at Southwest Virginia Community College and Virginia Highlands Community College. She was married to SSGT Ralph G. Sutherland, USAF (deceased). Ms. Sutherland resides in Hansonville, Virginia and has a son Kenneth “Rick” Sutherland and a daughter Tamara J. Galliher. She is also the proud grandmother of four granddaughters, two grandsons, and 4 great granddaughters. Although Euva retired in 2009, she continues to volunteer and work at the Center on an as needed basis.

Lisa Sutherland
Lisa Sutherland is the office manager at the Lebanon Speech & Hearing Center. Mrs. Sutherland has worked at the Lebanon office since 1996 and also acts as the insurance/billing clerk. A native of southwestern Virginia, Mrs. Sutherland is a graduate of Abingdon High School. She attended managerial school in Raleigh, North Carolina and Virginia Highlands Community College. Previous to working at Lebanon Speech and Hearing Center, Mrs. Sutherland worked in a variety of medical settings. Mrs. Sutherland lives in Abingdon with her husband, Rick, and has 3 daughters, 4 granddaughters, and 2 Scottish Terriers.

Lesa Addison
Lesa Addison is the Patient Account Coordinator for the Bristol office. Lesa joined the Center in 2008. She is responsible for billing all insurance claims and assisting patients with insurance and/or account questions. Lesa has over 25 years experience in medical/patient billing. She lives is Bristol with her husband David and has 2 sons Shawn and David Jr.

Anne Eller
Anne joined the Bristol Regional Speech and Hearing Center after working for several years managing the charitable fundraising for the Center. Anne hold’s a bachelor’s degree in psychology and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration coupled with experience in non-profit management. Anne currently acts as the Director of Finance and Marketing for both the Bristol and Lebanon Offices.

Sarah Dorton
Sarah began working at Bristol Regional Speech and Hearing Center as the receptionist in August 2009. She is responsible for registering patients, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, and patient files. She received her Medical Secretarial Degree in 1984 and has 30 years of various office related experience. She is a native of Bluefield, West Virginia and has one son, Michael. Sarah resides in Bristol, Virginia with her husband David and their three dogs Dixie, Rocky and Charlie. She is proud to work for a facility that makes an important difference in people’s lives.
